Make learning relevant as students use a real world problem, the problem of premature birth and infant mortality in the developing world, as a starting point to engineer a solution while learning science content. This NGSS aligned in-depth unit uses the three dimensions to fully engage students while they actively investigate the content and engineer and prototype a solution. Students address multiple issues in their solution.
